"Live to Give"
7th August 2009
I recall a young person some years ago who I worked with, that was offered the help of a senior work colleague as part of their employment. This assistance developed into a mentor relationship and was a huge help to both parties, each learning from one another.
It is so easy today to ignore taking the time to offer support to develop an employee, as we all get busy with our world.
It has been said that mentoring someone is like planting a seed and watching it grow into something great !
An old quote “from little acorns a giant Oak grows” is very relevant and needed in today’s world.
Next time you get a chance, remember to be generous with your time and consider mentoring someone.
Giving is a good habit !
